in honor of Mean Girls’ 10th anniversary, here’s an incredibly subtle but completely extraordinary joke that you’ve probably never noticed from the movie (I saw it at least a dozen times before it dawned on me): Regina George started a rumor that Janis Ian was a lesbian in the 8th grade, but it wasn’t out of malice… it was because Janis told her that she was Lebanese

Anyone who says Adam was just a whiny little jerk clearly wasn’t watching the same show as I was. Adam was a fucking BOSS WHO CALLED SHIT LIKE IT WAS AND SASSED ZACHARIAH TO HIS FACE.

Lyrics:

I remember when Sam went to Hell first time
Saying, “Let me go, Dean, I’ll jump in,” ‘cause like
Apocalypse was starting if he didn’t
When the devil possessed him. (Sam!)
Then he came right back again and said
"Hey, Bro, I’m not dead, been hunting a year, let’s go."
Remember how that lasted for a while?
I say, “What’s wrong, Sam?” we argue, we call Cas, “He’s Soulless.”

It’s been seasons since, I think the writers forgot someone
And it’s been seasons since, but this time I’ve realized it, I’ve realized it

We are never ever ever saving Adam ever,
We are never ever ever saving Adam ever,
He’s been dead for four years and we haven’t tried at all
But we are never ever ever ever saving Adam ever

Like, ever…

I’m really gonna miss him picking fights
with me cause Dad did some shit. The kid’s alright
Though he was kinda abducted and left behind
With some fat ass angel that’s much cooler than mine

It’s been seasons since, I think the writers forgot someone
And it’s been seasons since, but this time I’ve realized it, I’ve realized it

We are never ever ever saving Adam ever,
We are never ever ever saving Adam ever,
He’s been dead for four years and we haven’t tried at all
But we are never ever ever ever saving Adam ever

Ooh, yeah, ooh yeah, ooh yeah
Oh oh oh

I used to think that death was forever there
And I used to say, “The dead should stay down there…”
Uggg… so Death calls me up and he’s like, “Adam’s staying dead,”
And I’m like… “I just… He’s still stuck in the Cage, you know, like,
Are we never saving Adam ever? Like, ever?”

No!

We are never ever ever saving Adam ever,
We are never ever ever saving Adam ever,
He’s been dead for four years and we haven’t tried at all
But we are never ever ever ever saving Adam ever

We, ooh, saving Adam ever, ohhh,
We, ooh, Saving Adam ever

He’s been dead for four years and we haven’t tried at all
But we are never ever ever ever saving Adam ever

Oh, Elsa.  What are we going to do with you.

Frozen is purportedly set in the 1830’s-40’s, but I’ve been obsessed with finding a style that could marry her coronation gown with her ice gown more seamlessly; the open robes you see during the Regency era, including those being worn by Scandinavian royalty at the time, seemed a particularly apt analog for her… weird underarm-cape.  Thing.  You also see her mom wearing something very similar for something like ten years, so it’s not a huge stretch to think it could be a popular look in Arendelle.  THAT’S MY EXCUSE.

I initially designed this for her coronation, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to explore how that same silhouette might work with her ice gown as well.  Someday, theoretically, I would love to do a more literally iced-up version of her gown, but I figured the alternate colour way would be a nice middle ground to strike.
